Job description

We are currently working in partnership with an international engineering company based in Northamptonshire, who is currently recruiting for a Payroll Administrator on a permanent contract. The position is due to start immediately on a part-time basis, with the salary starting at £23,000 FTE.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Inputting data and managing two monthly payrolls via outsourced Payroll Specialist

  • Undertaking all payroll activities such as processing of starters, leavers, changes to terms and conditions of employment, overtime, attachment of earnings, adjustments etc

  • Managing Time and Attendance System, creating new starter profiles and extraction of data for payroll purposes

  • Completing payroll and finance reconciliations as required, and liaising with the payroll service provider and finance of statutory reporting and documentation.

  • Ensuring the timely and accurate issuing of payslips and other payroll generated documents such as P45’s and P60’s

  • Liaising with all departments, divisions and colleagues to collate all relevant payroll data for input on a monthly basis in line with strict deadlines

  • Updating\maintaining HR and Payroll systems as and when required to ensure all data held is relevant, accurate and up to date

  • Being responsible for the absence management process by ensuring HR are in receipt of fit notes and return to works and all absence is recorded on the relevant systems, bringing to the HRBP’s attention any breaches to procedure, long term absence, high absenteeism and/or patterns of absence

Expertise required:

  • Strong experience of working in an administrative position

  • MS Office skills to intermediate/advanced level

Working hours:

  • 20 hours per week

  • Monday – Friday
