Job description

Our client, based in Cwmbran, Wales, is currently recruiting for a Neighbourhood Officer on a temporary contract for three months, and is offering a rate of up to £21.00 per hour via an umbrella company. The role includes 2-3 days home working per week however the successful candidate will be required to attend the office every day during their first week in the position.

The ideal candidate will have experience and knowledge of in a similar role within income recovery, and must possess a full UK driving license.

DUTIES WILL INCLUDE:

  • Conducting viewings, sign ups and other site visits as and when required, ensuring the viewing experience represent the organisation and the asset positively

  • Handling the collection of rent arrears from tenants, either via face to face, phone or email

  • Ensuring all activities are within budgetary constraints, including estate services charge expenditure and support the Neighbourhood Manager in management of patch service charge budgets

  • Handling all aspects of ASB, Income and Rent queries

  • Offering welfare and benefits advice to help clients increase their income

  • Supporting the Neighbourhood Manager to undertake any incident management or customer complaint investigations including the analysis of trends

  • Efficiently address and resolve issues identified in all breaches of the tenancies conditions

  • Serving NOSPs, NTQs and attending evictions

  • Effectively maintaining the conditions of the external environment of the managed area, managing service contacts and encouraging tenant involvement within the managed patch

  • Liaising with internal services and external agencies to ensure appropriate care and ensuring support packages are being delivered to vulnerable tenants
