Job description

We are currently working in partnership with a housing association based in Sheffield, who are recruiting for a Neighbourhood Officer on a temporary six-week contract. The position is due to start immediately. The hourly rate of pay is negotiable up to £22.00 via an Umbrella company.

The ideal candidate will have experience as a housing officer previously and well versed in the responsibilities this role holds, have a basic DBS certificate, drive and have access to their own vehicle, and have proven experience of Housing Officer duties.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Managing a patch of around 500-600 properties

  • Handling and carrying out the process of medium level ASB cases

  • Dealing with general tenancy management including sign ups

  • Managing voids and repairs of properties across patch

  • Signposting residents to relevant external agencies such as the DWP, Police and Stakeholders

  • Increasing tenancy engagement across the community

  • Organising and managing your own diary in a proactive and efficient way to ensure all tasks are competed effectively

Experience required:

  • Experience required as a housing officer

  • Experience completing and handling ASB cases

  • Experience managing all aspects of tenancy management

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

  • Knowledge of ASB processes

  • Expertise in the tenancy start up process

  • Ability to manage a large case load
