Job description
We are currently working in partnership with a housing association based in Sheffield, who are recruiting for a Neighbourhood Officer on a temporary six-week contract. The position is due to start immediately. The hourly rate of pay is negotiable up to £22.00 via an Umbrella company.
The ideal candidate will have experience as a housing officer previously and well versed in the responsibilities this role holds, have a basic DBS certificate, drive and have access to their own vehicle, and have proven experience of Housing Officer duties.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
Managing a patch of around 500-600 properties
Handling and carrying out the process of medium level ASB cases
Dealing with general tenancy management including sign ups
Managing voids and repairs of properties across patch
Signposting residents to relevant external agencies such as the DWP, Police and Stakeholders
Increasing tenancy engagement across the community
Organising and managing your own diary in a proactive and efficient way to ensure all tasks are competed effectively
Experience required:
Experience required as a housing officer
Experience completing and handling ASB cases
Experience managing all aspects of tenancy management
Skills, knowledge and expertise required:
Knowledge of ASB processes
Expertise in the tenancy start up process
Ability to manage a large case load
