Our client, a Housing Association based in Yorkshire, is currently recruiting for a Neighbourhood Officer on an 8-week temporary contract.

The position is due to start immediately on a full-time basis, working 37 hours per week Monday – Friday. The hourly rate is negotiable up to £23.00 per hour via an umbrella company.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

• Completing estate inspections, tenancy audits and reviews

• Carrying out property inspections and conduct estate walkabout

• Ensuring the efficient and effective management of homes and services within a designated area, working largely on own initiative and without regular on-site supervision

• Making sure local housing services sustain independent living for all tenants

• Liaising with contractors, dealing with repairs and maintenance

• Dealing with all cases of low level ASB including noise and nuisance complaints

• Working with residents and promoting community involvement to help tackle cases of ASB

• Dealing with the lettings process from start to finish including allocating properties, initial accompanied viewings, and sign-ups

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

• Up to date with housing legislation

• Experience of working within housing management, ASB and lettings

Working hours:

• 37 hours per week

• Monday – Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm
