Job description

Our client, based in Northampton, is currently recruiting for a Litigation Lawyer on a temporary contract for six months.

The position is due to start immediately on a full time basis. The hourly rate is negotiable based on experience for this position.

Our client will consider both Public Sector and Practice experience.

Duties will include (but not limited to):

•    Advising and advocating for prosecutions primarily in relation to environmental, regulatory and anti-social behaviour offences in the Magistrates Courts

•    Attending Licensing Subcommittees at various venues within the Council and having conduct of and provide advocacy for any Licencing Appeals in the Magistrates Courts

•    Guiding client departments on their investigations to build the above prosecution cases

Working hours:

•    37 hours per week

•    Monday – Friday

•    Hybrid – mostly remote with the requirement to attend court hearings and licensing sub-committees when required
