Job description
Our client, based in South East London, is currently recruiting for a Lead Manager on a temporary two month contract. Our client is a homeless charity that are ranked in the top 100 best not-for-profit organisations to work for. Their mission is to help people who are homeless or vulnerable to find decent homes, build supportive relationships and lead fulfilling lives.
The position is due to start immediately on a full-time basis and the hourly rate is negotiable based on experience.
The ideal candidate will have worked with homeless/vulnerable clients before and have managed staff.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
Managing one Lead Worker and five Support Workers on a day to day basis
Building relationships across the team and liaising with sister service for additional support
Negotiating with landlords to sustain and maintain tenancies for service users
Building up the team's employment engagement in order to generate good quality jobs and sustain them
Skills, knowledge and expertise required:
Extensive knowledge on housing law
Managed staff in a supported housing environment
Carried out tenancy related support
Rewards and benefits:
One or two days working from home per week once settled
Working hours:
37.5 hours per week
Monday – Friday, 9am-5pm
