​Our client, is a large Housing Association based in East Lancashire, who is is currently recruiting for a Income Recovery Officer on a permanent basis. The position is due to start at the beginning of March with interview being conducted over the next few weeks. The role will be full time and will only involve going to the office once or twice a week.

The ideal candidate will have experience representing Housing Associations at Court level in relation to arrears recovery.

Duties will include (but not limited to):

·         Responsible for the collection of high level arrears, up to £5000

·         Attending court in relation to evictions or county court judgements

·         Responsible for the collection of current and former rent arrears either via face to face, phone or email

·         Carrying out budget plans with tenants in order to avoid arrears in the future

·         Setting up direct debit payments with tenants

·         Liaising with external agencies on a regular basis

·         Offering welfare and benefit advice in order to help maximise tenants
