Job description

Our client based in Leicestershire are currently recruiting for an experienced HR Officer (hybrid) on a temporary contract for 3 months. The position is due to start immediately on a full-time basis and is a great opportunity for someone looking to use their skillset in a people orientated team. The hourly rate is negotiable based on experience for this position.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Acting as an initial point of contact for all HR queries across the organisation, escalating complex cases where needs be

  • Providing effective management in regards to short and long-term absence management

  • Supporting the HR service with management of ER cases including disciplinaries, grievances and other issues

  • Attending formal stage sick absence meetings with line managers and offer coaching and advice, take notes when required

  • Supplying an efficient, effective and comprehensive service to managers in all aspects of people management in a manner that is consistent with the organisation’s values and in accordance with employment law

  • Maintaining HR documentation and trackers ensuring information is kept up to date and accurate for the purposes of HR KIP’s and performance monitoring

Expertise required:

  • Experience of effectively dealing with ER cases, including absence management & grievance

  • Up to date knowledge of employment law and best practice

  • Proven experience of working as an HR professional at Officer/Advisor level in a people focused organisation

  • Background of working on policy development and implementation

  • Ideally be CIPD qualified

Working hours:

  • 35 hours per week

  • Monday - Friday

  • 9am-5pm (flexible)

  • 2-3 days working from home
