HR Officer

Our client, a publishing company based in Central London, is currently recruiting for a HR Officer on a permanent basis.

The position is due to start immediately on a full time basis. The salary on offer is between £30,000 – £35,000 per annum.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience of working in a busy HR administrative role.

Duties will include (but not limited to):

  • Coordinate, plan and execute recruitment for all business areas, supporting recruiting managers and ensuring adherence to policy and procedures
  • Build strong working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders to aid best practise service delivery
  • Coordinate the probationary process with line managers ensuring all related admin is completed
  • Undertake HR general administrative duties in relation to HR correspondence and employee records, ensuring tasks are completed timely and accurately
  • Update employment changes to personal records on the HRIS in a timely manner and in accordance with GDPR
  • Coordinate and support on the full on-boarding and off-boarding processes, ensuring data sources and payroll are accurately updated
  • Support HR Business Partners with non-complex employee relations case work and escalate complex issues to HR Business Partners
  • Support the team by identifying optimal solutions that meet the needs of the team and recommend process improvements

 

Experience / Skills / Knowledge required:

  • A keen interest in HR and study towards the CIPD qualification
  • Ability to prioritise own workload to meet tight deadlines
  • Works calmly under pressure, with confidentiality and discretion
  • Strong attention to detail skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Good literacy, numeracy and IT skills including proficiency in MS Office

Working hours:

  • 37.5 hours per week
  • Monday – Friday 9am-5:30 pm
