Job description

Our client, based in London, is currently recruiting for a HR Manager on a permanent basis. The position is due to start immediately on a full-time basis. The salary for this position is £47,723 per annum (plus benefits).

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working operationally within HR with a specific focus on employee relations. They will have led on the full range of employee relation cases which will vary in complexity from sickness absence up to tribunals.

Duties will include (but not limited to):

  • Overseeing, coaching and supporting managers with performance management and provide guidance and oversight on complex employee relations issues with up to 30 cases at any one time

  • Providing advice, guidance and support for staff and managers on all HR disciplines and policies to drive effective HR practices

  • Developing a strong partnering relationship with senior leaders and managers in designated areas of the business, acting as an internal consultant to diagnose, develop and implement effective HR strategies and people plans which support their business goals and drive sustained performance to meet targets

  • Advising and guiding on the scoping and implementation of organisational restructures, providing challenge and insight to ensure alignment with the organisation’s strategic direction and goals

  • Providing advice and guidance on action plans to support retention and development of high potential individuals

  • Liaising and working with a variety of trade unions including the NEU and UNISON

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

  • Be proactive in identifying and pursuing opportunities

  • CIPD L7 (desireable)

  • Experience within operational and strategic HR service delivery.

  • Able to manage coach, support, challenge, and mentor others successfully

  • Experience of leading and delivering complex people projects and initiatives
    within specific deadlines

Working hours:

  • 35 hours per week

  • Monday - Friday 9am-5pm

  • Working at locations in North London and South West London, all of which are easily accessible using public transport

  • 2 days working from home (please be aware that your presence in the office may be required on work from home days depending on business leads)
