HR Business Partner

Our client is currently recruiting for an HR Business Partner on a fixed-term contract basis for six months. Our client operates within the Education sector, and whilst the main office is based in Birmingham, the majority of this role will be carried out on a home-working basis.

The position is due to start immediately on a full time basis. The salary is in the region of £45,000 for this position.

The ideal candidate must have proven hands-on experience of complex employee relations within a Unionised environment.

Duties will include (but not limited to):

• Handling a complex employee relations caseload, including handling settlement agreements and tribunal preparations and processes as required
• Influencing, coaching and providing specialist advice to managers in regards to people management and complex employee relations activity
• Establishing effective working relationships with key stakeholders, business customers and recognised Union representatives
• Leading the HR Business Partner and Advisor team, with accountability for People Planning and KPIs
• Managing and undertaking key HR Project activity, including supporting general HR/ER activity as required by the business

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

• Experience of hands-on ER casework within a Unionised environment
• Practical experience of tribunal processes
• Proven experience of establishing effective stakeholder and customer relations

Working hours:

• 37 hours per week
• Monday – Friday
