Job description

We are currently working in partnership with an award-winning further educational institution with eight campuses across south east London, who are looking to appoint a HR Business Partner on a 6-month FTC.

This will be a full-time position based in Kent, with hybrid working (2/3 days home working) and a salary of £41,000 to £48,500 per annum.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience of providing updated knowledge of employment law to senior stakeholders along with leading on complex employee relations cases.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Acting as a HR Business partner as well as lead for providing professional advice to designated managers, providing specific advice, expertise and solutions on employee relations issues such as leading in discussions, consultations and negotiations

  • Developing potential options to resolve cases, ranging from negotiated settlements, new management practises, to performance monitoring, early retirement and dismissal

  • Overseeing organisations change and restructure

  • Working with Senior Managers to ensure their business plans are aligned with the HR strategy and the wider Strategic Plan

  • Assisting with the continuous improvement of our HR policies, procedures and guidelines, including undertaking consultation and negotiation with managers, staff and our unions as necessary

 

Experience required:

  • Managing and delivering the full range of employee relations issues

  • Experience of working as an integrated HR professional as part of the business

 

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

  • A good and up to date working knowledge of employment law

  • Effective interpersonal skills which include effective influencing skills and the ability to build relationships with a wide range of people at different levels

Working hours:

  • 37 hours per week

  • Monday - Friday 8:30am-5pm)
