Job description

 Our client, based in South East London, is currently recruiting for a HR Advisor on a temporary contract for one to two months. Our client is a pioneering national charity with over a 120 years‘ worth of service.

 

The position is due to start immediately on a full time basis. The hourly rate is negotiable based on experience for this position.

 

The ideal candidate will have extensive employee relations skills

 

Duties will include (but not limited to):

· Provide first line generalist HR advice and support on terms and conditions of employment and HR policies and procedures in line with policy, practice and legislation, with a view to resolving matters on advice

·         Work independently and autonomously to manage low level to complex casework including probation, performance, fixed term contract, grievance, capability or conduct issues up to and including dismissal, with the support of the HR Manager

·         Assist the HR Manager and HR Director in promoting employee and workforce wellbeing and learning from casework

·         Support the HR Manager and HR Director with organisation change programmes, redundancy and TUPE ensuring HR due diligence and documentation requirements are conducted effectively and are compliant with the organisations policies and legislation

·         Develop the recording and reporting of casework that is robust and links to the organisations HR system

·         Assist the HR Manager with organising the annual appraisal process, managing all appraisal information and documentation

 

Experience required:

·         Prior experience of working in employee relations or a HR generalist role

·         Experience in handling TUPE an redundancies

 

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

·         Working knowledge of key employment legislation and best practice

·         Clear understanding of HR practices and policies, their formation and purpose

·         Good written and verbal communication skills and the ability to present information clearly

 

Working hours:

·         37.5 hours per week

·         Monday - Friday 9am-5pm

·         Flexible working from home
