Job description

We are currently working in partnership with a well-respected education provider, based in Leicestershire, who are recruiting for a HR Advisor on a two-month temporary contract (with the potential to go permanent in the future).

The position is due to start immediately on a full-time basis. The hourly rate is negotiable based on experience for this position.

The ideal candidate will have access to their own vehicle. An enhanced DBS check is required or will need to be completed for this role.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Provide advice and guidance on HR matters including general queries, terms and conditions of employment, payroll, absence management, disciplinary, grievance, capability and performance

  • Lead on the absence management process, monitoring absence levels and ensuring early intervention to reduce staff absence

  • Support the HR Business Partner to deliver HR projects including restructures, TUPE, creating policies and guidance

  • Support the Payroll & HR Assistant to ensure all new starters have undergone relevant pre-employment checks in line with safer recruitment practices

  • Support the HR Business Partner to develop and implement an effective induction process for the staff

  • Gather, monitor and analyse HR metrics, providing reports when requested

Expertise required:

  • Ideally have experience in the education sector (but not essential)

  • Experience working in employee relations and HRIS system knowledge
