Job description

We are currently working in partnership with a prestigious national heritage institution based in Central London, who is currently recruiting for a HR Advisor on a permanent contract. The position is due to start in the coming weeks on a full-time basis, with the salary of £32,000 per annum.

The ideal candidate will have the ability to advise and guide managers on employee relation cases as well as all organisational policies and procedures.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Advising managers and staff on matters across the whole spectrum of human resources, to ensure a consistent approach towards correctly implementing all HR policies

  • Assisting and advising in the investigation of disciplinary and grievance cases, maintaining an awareness of current legislation and its application ensuring that policies and procedures are amended accordingly

  • Providing support to managers and staff on redeployment in order to avoid issuing compulsory redundancy where possible

  • Coordinating recruitment campaigns to attract and recruit appropriate candidates at all levels

  • Performing a limited counselling role and to deal with personal and telephone enquiries to ensure that staff work problems are resolved

  • Completing statistical returns relating to specific functional areas and provide relevant information for inclusion in management reports to support the HR KPI’s

Experience required:

  • Working within a fast-paced HR team

  • Working closely with senior stakeholders on HR topics

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

  • Sound knowledge of employment law

  • Employee relation casework

Working hours:

  • 35 hours per week

  • Monday - Friday 9am-5pm
