Job description

We are currently working with an ambitious and growing Legal Practice who are looking to appoint a HR Advisor on a full time (35 hours) permanent basis.

They are looking for a strong, credible generalist HR Advisor to partner with teams across the firm to build strong working relationships and support managers and Partners with key people matters

They can offer a salary of circa £33,000 and a hybrid working pattern (2 days working from home).

The successful candidate will need to have a full driving licence and access to own vehicle to reach offices around the region and experience of working on employee relations matters at all levels.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Working closely with managers to bring employee relations matters to a positive conclusion, including Disciplinary, Grievances, Performance Management, Sickness absence and Occupational Health

  • Advising staff and managers as first point of contact for people matters/queries

  • Managing changes to terms and conditions of employment and ensuring timely communication to the operations and payroll team

  • Conducting exit interviews, providing insight to the business and feedback to line managers

  • Maintaining employee data within the HR System, and running reports to inform HR plans

  • Supporting with the maintenance and development of the People team sharepoint pages – ensuring that annual policy reviews are undertaken

  • Supporting the operations team with recruitment administration and onboarding

Experience required:

  • Proven experience of working in a busy HR role supporting multiple activities and dealing with a wide variety of internal/external customers

  • Experience of the Performance Management Cycle including disciplinary, capability and grievance processes

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

  • Sound working knowledge of employment law

  • Knowledge and experience of HR software including HR Databases, employee’s self-service portals, etc

  • 35 hours per week
