Job description

Our client, based in central London, is currently recruiting for a HR Advisor on a temporary contract for six months. Our client is a prestigious and award-winning public institution.

The position is due to start immediately on a full-time basis. The hourly rate is negotiable based on experience for this position.

The ideal candidate will have experience of working with employee relations and an update knowledge of employment law.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Advising managers on matters across the whole spectrum of Human Resources, to ensure a consistent approach towards the organisations HR policies

  • Assisting in the investigation of all employee relations cases including but not limiting to disciplinary and grievance cases, ensuring they are carried out in line with current legislation and the company policies and procedures

  • Supporting the organisation/service reviews to ensure that strategic objectives are fulfilled and that the change programmes are embedded within the business

  • Monitoring specific data such as sickness absence, competencies, equalities, conducts and liaises with and advises managers on any issues arising

  • Undertaking Job Evaluations and advising managers in line with Pay Policy; as well as completing Equality Impact Assessments

  • Advising on company benefits, well-being at work and flexible working policies

Experience required:

  • Proven generalist HR experience

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

  • Ability to work in a fast-moving working environment

  • Up to date knowledge of employment legislation and professional skills

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, influencing and negotiation skills

  • Ability to work on various tasks at the same time and prioritise effectively

Working hours:

  • 36 hours per week

  • Monday – Friday, 9am-5pm or 8.30am -4.30pm

  • 3 days working from home per week
