HR Advisor

Our client, based in London, is currently recruiting for a HR Advisor on a permanent basis. Our client is proud to have a gold accreditation with Investors in People.

The position is due to start as soon as possible on a full time basis. The salary for this position is £34,804 per annum + excellent benefits.

The ideal candidate will be CIPD qualified or experience to an equivalent level.

Duties will include (but not limited to):

  • To provide comprehensive support to managers on recruitment and to ensure recruitment administration is carried out to provide a quality service that meets business needs
  • Support the Head of HR in reviewing, developing and implementing Reward strategy and providing administration support to the Payroll function
  • Provide support to managers in the implementation of the performance management system
  • Ensure that all Human Resource policies and practices comply with the organisation’s Diversity strategy and legislation
  • Ensure accurate, timely and full advice is provided to managers and staff on all aspects of sickness absence management policy and procedure
  • Conduct monthly, quarterly, yearly and ad hoc reports on sickness absence statistics run and distributed as requested by the Head of HR/Assistant Director People
  • Supervise and instruct the Human Resources Administrator/Apprentice to deliver the full recruitment and onboarding service

Experience and knowledge required:

  • Understanding of current employment issues relating to for example, disciplinary, grievance, absence management and recruitment
  • Strong attention to details, identifying and correcting errors and omissions
  • Understanding of Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion legislation and best practic
  • Ability to use and manipulate spreadsheets in Excel

Rewards and Benefits:

  • 27 days annual leave rising to 29 days after 5 years’ service
  • Ability to join a performance related pay scheme which currently pays up to 5% of salary each financial
  • Pension: Non-contributory 8% of Annual salary

Working hours:

  • Monday – Friday 9am-5pm
  • First 6 weeks office based – after this hybrid working will be arranged with up to 3 days working from home
