HR Advisor

Our client, based in Yorkshire, is currently recruiting for a HR Advisor on a permanent basis. Our client is proud to be a world leading employer within their industry.

The position is due to start immediately on a full time basis. The annual salary is dependent on experience, however ranges between c£30,000 to c£34,000.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years’ experience in the sector, however this requirement can be flexible.

Duties will include (but not limited to):

  • Provide expert, pragmatic ER solutions, where necessary advising colleagues (including line managers) directly on ER issues and the application of related policies and procedures
  • Deliver a professional case management service across our institution, providing advice, challenge and support to managers on matters such as attendance management, disciplinary, grievance, and performance management
  • Contribute to the development of strong collaborative, trust based, working relationships with trade union colleagues both through formal and informal fora and the effective operation of the recognition agreements
  • Establish, develop and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and managers from the HR team, ensuring effective and timely support and advice
  • Provide one-to-one coaching and advisory input to managers when dealing with casework including attendance at meetings as required, deciding appropriate process
  • Ensure data is inputted into the Information System accurately
  • Engage in own personal and professional development, maintaining up to date knowledge of people practice and employment legislation, and demonstrate a range of effective behaviours and skills, including sharing knowledge with the wider people team

Working hours:

  • 37 hours per week
  • Monday – Friday 9am-5pm
  • Flexible working
