Our client, based in South Wales, is currently recruiting for a Housing Solutions Officer on a temporary contract for 12 months. Our client is a reputable Local Authority in the region that offers amazing working from home flexibility throughout most of the week!

The position is due to start immediately on a full time basis. The hourly rate is in the region of £17.00 per hour via an umbrella company.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years’ experience in the sector, however this requirement can be flexible.

Duties will include (but not limited to):

•   Acting as first point of contact for homeless clients, helping to ensure accommodations are in good condition, reporting any repairs and arranging maintenance

•   Using knowledge on the Housing Wales Act 2014 to determine priority needs

•   Assessing if homeless applicants need emergency accommodation and arranging future appointments

•   Attending appointments with clients and actively working to prevent homelessness

•   Working in conjunction with B&B’s and hostels to best support rough sleepers

Experience required:

•    Knowledge of the Housing and Wales Act 2014

•    Minimum two years’ experience within the sector

Working hours (add/delete as appropriate):

•    37 hours per week

•    Monday - Friday 08:30am – 17:00pm (early finish on Friday)
