Job description

Our client, based in Staffordshire, is currently recruiting for a Housing Officer on a temporary contract finishing at the end of March (potential to be extended).

The position is due to start immediately on a full time basis; Monday to Friday, 9:00am until 5:00pm. The hourly rate is negotiable based on experience for this position and the client is offering hybrid working.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years’ experience in the sector, however this requirement can be flexible. Please note a car is essential for the role.

Duties will include (but not limited to):

  • Responsible for general Tenancy Management of homes and services within a designated area of approximately 600 properties, working largely on own initiative and without regular on-site supervision

  • Allocate empty homes to new customers, managing direct applications to the organisation and via local authority waiting lists, and successfully on board customers into their new homes, ensuring a great experience whilst mitigating void rent loss

  • Complete tenancy audits and reviews and take the appropriate follow up action

  • Carry out visits to patch regularly and manage a caseload of approximately 25 cases

  • Dealing with all cases of low level ASB including noise and nuisance complaints

  • Working with residents and promoting community involvement to help tackle cases of ASB

Experience required:

  • Minimum two years’ experience within the sector

  • Tenancy Management and ASB60

Working hours:

  • 37 hours per week

  • Monday - Friday 9am-5pm
