Housing Officer

Our client, based in Hertfordshire, is currently recruiting for a Housing Officer on a temporary contract for two months. Our client is an award-winning housing association, who have been commended for their innovative approach.

The position is due to start immediately on a full time basis. The hourly rate is negotiable based on experience for this position.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years’ experience in the sector, however this requirement can be flexible.

Duties will include (but not limited to):

• Responsible for tenancy management across a patch of 1000 properties
• Deal with viewings and sign ups and liaise with tenants effectively to help them sustain their tenancies
• Responsible for dealing with ASB, investigate complaints, mediate and attend court where necessary
• Draft and serve NTQs, NOSPs and deal with enforcement action where necessary
• Managed the entire voids and lettings procedure, ensuring properties are re-let as soon as possible to minimise loss
• Responsible for reporting any repairs and liaising with grounds maintenance, caretakers and any external contractors

Experience required:

• Managed properties
• Signed up new tenants
• Drafted NTQs, NOSPs when required
• Minimum two years’ experience within the sector

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

• Tenancy management
• Dealt with all levels of ASB

Working hours:

• 37 hours per week
• Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm
