We are currently working in partnership with a local council based in Surrey, who are looking to appoint a Housing Officer on a permanent basis.  

This will be a full-time position, and they are looking for someone who can start as soon as possible. The salary is up to £41,000 per annum.  

The ideal candidate will have experience providing general tenancy management services, especially attending court if necessary.  

Duties will include (but are not limited to):  

• Managing a patch of approximately 450 residential properties, delivering a comprehensive tenancy management service in accordance with housing policies and legislation 

• Conducting tenancy audits to verify occupancy, identify support needs, and ensure compliance with tenancy agreements 

• Investigating and resolving low-level Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) cases, providing early intervention, mediation, and appropriate referrals where necessary 

• Carrying out regular estate inspections, identifying environmental issues, health and safety concerns, and repairs, and liaised with contractors to ensure timely resolution  

• Backfilling and updating missing tenancy and property data, maintaining accurate housing management records and ensuring data integrity across internal systems 

• Managing tenancy-related enquiries, providing advice and support to tenants while promoting tenancy sustainment 

• Investigating breaches of tenancy conditions and taking appropriate action to resolve issues in line with organisational procedures 

• Working closely with internal departments, contractors, and external agencies to deliver coordinated housing services and positive outcomes for residents

Working hours: 

• Mon – Fri 

• 9am – 5pm
