Job description
We are currently working in partnership with a local council based in Surrey, who are looking to appoint a Housing Officer on a permanent basis.
This will be a full-time position, and they are looking for someone who can start as soon as possible. The salary is up to £41,000 per annum.
The ideal candidate will have experience providing general tenancy management services, especially attending court if necessary.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
Managing a patch of approximately 450 residential properties, delivering a comprehensive tenancy management service in accordance with housing policies and legislation
Conducting tenancy audits to verify occupancy, identify support needs, and ensure compliance with tenancy agreements
Investigating and resolving low-level Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) cases, providing early intervention, mediation, and appropriate referrals where necessary
Carrying out regular estate inspections, identifying environmental issues, health and safety concerns, and repairs, and liaised with contractors to ensure timely resolution
Backfilling and updating missing tenancy and property data, maintaining accurate housing management records and ensuring data integrity across internal systems
Managing tenancy-related enquiries, providing advice and support to tenants while promoting tenancy sustainment
Investigating breaches of tenancy conditions and taking appropriate action to resolve issues in line with organisational procedures
Working closely with internal departments, contractors, and external agencies to deliver coordinated housing services and positive outcomes for residents
Working hours:
Mon – Fri
9am – 5pm
