Job description

Our client, based in Kingston, is currently recruiting for a Housing Officer on a permanent contract.

This position is due to start in April. The salary for this position will be around the £40,000 mark.

The ideal candidate will have experience working in housing, have a full UK Driver’s License and access to their own vehicle.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Manage all aspects of tenancy and leasehold services, including tenancy management, resident support, and signposting

  • Deliver high-quality housing management to tenants, leaseholders, and shared owners

  • Oversee repairs, liaise with contractors to arrange works, track progress, and maintain communication

  • Coordinate lettings, viewings, and tenancy start/end processes to ensure minimal void periods

  • Support rent collection and arrears recovery, including tenant engagement and court attendance

  • Conduct inspections, managed ASB cases, complaints, and tenancy breaches effectively

  • Ensure compliance with regulations, maintained accurate records, and engaged residents to improve services

 

Experience required:

  • Experience in tenancy management

  • Experience using housing management or property systems

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

  • Have a good understanding of housing legislation

  • The ability to build effective relationships and partnerships with stakeholders

  • Ability to work on own initiative

Working hours:

  • Mon – Fri

  • 9:00 – 17:00
