Job description

Our client, who are proud to be a G15 Housing Association with 7,000 properties alone in London and with patches nationwide, are currently recruiting for a Housing Manager on a temporary contract for 3-6 months.

The position is due to start immediately on a full time basis. The client has high flexibility on the budgets and will be willing to pay suitable hourly or daily rates for Head of/Senior Management candidates, so do not let the job title hinder you applying!

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years’ experience managing housing staff (Housing Officers/Managers) and will be willing to travel across various London Boroughs in NW, W, SW & SE London.

Duties will include (but not limited to):

•    Managing 10 Housing Officers covering 3000 properties across patches in NW, W, SW and SE London (Fulham, Kensington & Chelsea, Hounslow, Brentford, Uxbridge, Pinner and Southwark)

•    Responsible for ensuring Housing Officers are following tenancy management duties, ASB reduction, estate management duties (inspections and Fire Risk Assessments)

•    Ensure high delivery of customer service is maintained from Housing Officers and customer satisfaction levels are improved

•    Lead weekly operations and performance meetings with staff and exceeding KPI’s

•    Act as a key contact for local stake holders and liaising improvements to relevant bodies

•    Attend court to represent the organisation for complex cases

Experience required:

•    Managed housing staff and had direct reports who were Housing Officers or Housing Managers

•    Ability to manage various housing areas, tenancy management, ASB reduction, estate management (Fire Risk Assessments and property inspections)

•    Minimum two years’ experience within the sector

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

•    Good knowledge of London Boroughs and surrounding areas

Rewards and Benefits:

•    Opportunity to go permanent with salary of £60,000

Working hours:

•    35 hours per week

•    Monday - Friday, 9am-5pm

•    3 days a week working from home, otherwise field based
