Job description

We are currently partnering with a well-established not-for-profit Housing Association based in Bedfordshire, who are recruiting for a Hostel Services Manager to join their growing team on a permanent basis.

This is a full-time position with a salary of £40,000 per annum.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

·         Leading and managing the Hostel Services team, providing effective supervision, coaching, and development to ensure high-quality support and positive customer outcomes

·         Overseeing the delivery of safe, secure, and supported accommodation services, ensuring compliance with safeguarding, regulatory requirements, best practice, and organisational policies

·         Driving operational performance through continuous improvement, effective processes, KPI management, income oversight, and proactive management of risks, voids, and service delivery

·         Building strong partnerships with internal teams, external agencies, and stakeholders to enhance services, improve customer experience, and support the organisation’s wider strategic objectives

Experience required:

·         Proven management experience within supported housing, social care, homelessness, or related services, with a track record of leading and developing high-performing teams

·         Experience supporting vulnerable individuals through person-centred approaches, enabling positive outcomes, independence, and tenancy sustainment

·         Strong operational experience, including managing performance, KPIs, budgets, tenancy services, and continuous service improvements

·         Experience using data, audits, and partnerships with external agencies to drive informed decision-making and deliver customer-focused services

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

·         Strong leadership, coaching, and people management skills, with the ability to inspire teams and deliver high-quality services

·         Excellent communication and emotional intelligence, with the ability to build trust, manage relationships, and maintain professional boundaries

·         Sound knowledge of safeguarding, trauma-informed practice, housing management, homelessness, and supporting vulnerable people to achieve positive outcomes

·         Strong organisational, commercial, and decision-making skills, with the ability to manage priorities, monitor performance, and drive continuous improvement

Working hours:

·         37 hours per week

·         Monday – Friday
