Head of Service (Gas, Compliance & Property)

Our client, is currently recruiting for a Head of Service (Gas, Compliance & Property) with 100% remote working on a six month temporary contract. The position is due to start immediately on a full time basis. The hourly rate is negotiable based on experience for this position.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years’ experience in the sector within a senior position, however this requirement can be flexible.

Duties will include (but not limited to):

  • Line manage the Service Manager’s around gas, compliance and property for the organisation (four/five people)
  • Lead on the investment profiling, developing revenue and capital programme budgets – circa £16 million per annum
  • Oversee and manage key areas of compliance, including, Fire, Legionella, Asbestos, Lifts and Lifting Equipment, Electrical Safety, Gas and other Fuel Burning Appliances etc.; manage the compliance data accordingly and report this back to the Board
  • Maintained all data with Open Housing – namely property components, attributes and the asbestos register
  • Monitor the 30 year, five year and annual investment plans
  • Manage a team comprising of a significant diverse range of skills providing support, advice and guidance to all on all activities
  • Produce and implement group wide policies, such as Asbestos, Fire and Legionella
  • Shape and implement processes and procedures, such as Customer Alterations, Aids and Adaptations, Asbestos Surveying and Removals (planned, responsive and voids), Stock Condition and Data Collection (utilising TM and Open Housing), Fire Risk Assessments, Stair lift and Hoists

 

Experience/skills required:

  • Must have experience of managing a similar team
  • Driving KPI’s
  • Management skills
  • Highly organised working in a fast paste enviroment

Working hours:

  • 40 hours per week
  • Monday – Friday – flexible working
