We are currently working in partnership with an emerging and expanding Housing Association based in North London, who are looking to appoint a Head of Housing on a 6-month fixed term contract, payng £55,000 per annum.

This will be a full-time position based in North London, with a potential to go permanent based on performance.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience of managing a team of housing professionals with the aim of offering exceptional service to residents in the community.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

• Taking overall responsibility for a patch of 600 properties

• Overseeing all aspects of the Housing Department

• Directly managing two Housing Officers

• Carrying out one-on-one performance appraisals

• Representing the Housing Association in court

• Working closely with the Housing Ombudsman in order to ensure compliance

Experience required:

• Experience managing staff

• Experience handling serious complaints

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

• Ability to conduct performance reviews

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

• Good organisational and time management skills

• Awareness of and ability to comply with guidance handed down by the Ombudsmen

• Ability to work flexibly and respond quickly to changing demands, while meeting deadlines

• Dedicated customer service professional

Working hours:

• 37.5 hours per week

• Monday – Friday, 9am-5pm
