Job description

Our client, based in Somerset, is currently recruiting for a Heating Engineer on a temporary to permanent basis, which will initially be a Three month contract. Our client is one of the largest Housing Associations in the UK, and is looking to add to their growing maintenance team.

The position is due to start immediately on a full-time basis. The hourly rate is negotiable based on experience for this position, and the salary for the permanent role is £39,500 per annum, which comes with a van and fuel card.

The ideal candidate will have experience working in Social Housing, as well as a full complement of ACS qualifications.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Completing reactive maintenance on boilers and heating systems within domestic properties, including combi-boilers

  • Ensuring all work falls in line with Industry British Standards

  • Completing work via a PDA and ensuring all work completed is in line with health & safety regulations

  • Carrying out annual services to heating appliances in line with manufacturer’s requirements and of Industry British Standards 

  • Ensuring any emergency work is attended and dealt with in a professional and efficient manner

Experience required:

  • Social Housing experience

  • Experience in Breakdown and Installs

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

  • ACS Qualifications

  • Full UK Driving License
