Fire Delivery Manager

Our client, based in Hampshire, is currently recruiting for a Fire Delivery Manager on a permanent contract. Our client is a Housing Association that manage 35,000 homes and house 80,000 residents.

The position is due to start immediately on a full time basis. The salary is £42,746.86 – £47,000 per annum (dependant on experience plus comprehensive benefits)

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years’ experience in the sector, however this requirement can be flexible.

Duties will include (but not limited to):

• Responsible for the delivery of external contractor led fire safety improvement programmes across the housing stock in accordance with the organisations fire risk management strategy
• Provide leadership to the delivery team consisting of two Project Managers and two Project Surveyors
• Work with the Customer Safety Fire Manager to create and agree the annual plan for the delivery fire safety requirements across the housing stock including agreeing the budget for the proposed programme
• Take responsibility for ensuring that the Fire Project Managers and Surveyors have the equipment and budget to plan and deliver the annual fire safety planned works programme
• Liaise with the Customer Safety Fire Manager to ensure all compliance issues are considered in delivering all planned works and to provide assurance that all works have been correctly completed and signed off

Experience required:

• Must hold Fire Risk Assessor certification or equivalent
• Experience of managing a high performing team, demonstrating credibility with strong influence and excellent communication skills and track record of building trusted relationship with internal and external key stakeholders

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

• Risk assessment and management
• Experience managing people with different needs located in multiple locations across the geography of the organisation
• Compliance and due diligence
• Experience in the Housing sector preferable
