Job description

We are proud to be partnering with a world-renowned cultural organisation who are looking to appoint a Finance Manager on a temporary basis until July 2024.

This will be a full-time position based in Central London with hybrid working (up to 3 days home working) and a day rate up to £250 via Umbrella Company.

The ideal candidate must have extensive experience managing their own team, will ideally have experience in the public sector and must be ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified (QBE candidates are also welcome).

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Managing a team of four, overseeing both the accounts receivable and accounts payable Finance function

  • Preparing and/or overseeing the management accounts for organisation including reviewing or preparing accruals and prepayments

  • Preparing key schedules for the annual organisation statutory accounts and supports the audit

  • Overseeing the corporate plan, including the preparation of management information

  • Responding to risks and opportunities uncovered in reporting and analysis, ensuring colleagues are brought in to discussion at appropriate points

Experience and expertise required:

  • Experience supervising a team (essential)

  • Fully qualified accountant (essential)

  • Experience in the public sector

  • Intermediate Excel skills

  • Note: if successful, the organisation will take out a basic DBS check.

Working hours:

  • 35 hours per week

  • Monday – Friday, 9am-5pm
