Job description
Our client, based in Central London, is currently recruiting for a Finance Manager on a permanent contract. Our client is one of the most prestigious arts venues in the UK.
The position is due to start immediately and on a full-time basis, with a salary of £49,500 per annum. Our client is also offering a hybrid working scheme.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working within a busy and progressive team, focusing on monthly reporting, annual budget preparation, financial modelling, cash flow reporting and invoice coding.
Duties will include (but not limited to):
Financial Processing:
Preparing and processing weekly and monthly departmental payroll
Working with the administrative and healthcare teams to ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices and other departmental expenditure
Working with the central finance team to ensure complete and accurate transaction processing and payment of suppliers
Financial Reporting and Financial Planning:
Producing accurate monthly management accounts and full year forecasts to the agreed timetable
Delivering budgets and financial plans, forecasts and variance reports covering the business plans for each team including the payroll function
Providing financial support to managers and heads of departments so they can operate within agreed budgets, creating packs on variance analysis and cashflow to better aid business decision making
Monitoring project income, costs and commitments against budgets, ensuring projects fit within set guidelines
Reconciling designated balance sheet accounts on a quarterly basis
Preparing and updating production, tour and payroll budget reports from information provided by the Administrative Director
Providing support during the year-end and audit process as required
Skills, knowledge and expertise required:
Experience working in a busy, progressive and tightly managed medium sized business
Highly numerate and analytical, with good attention to detail
Experience gained in the Arts, Media, Education or Voluntary sectors
Experience of SUN accounting system
Strong team player and good relationship management skills with stakeholders
High level of competency in Excel and Word
Hands on experience of using accounting software systems with an aptitude for learning new systems

Working hours:
35 hours per week
Monday - Friday 9am-5pm
Three days in the office, two working from home
