Our client, a reputable Local Authority within the North West is currently recruiting for three Environmental Health Officers, until the end of March 2021 initially with scope for extension.
The position is due to start immediately and offers flexibility in managing your own schedule. The hourly rate is also competitive based on experience.
Duties will include (but not limited to):
* Undertake food safety inspections, re-visits and identify where enforcement action is required as well as responding to customer service requests
* Complete inspection reports, establish and allocate food hygiene ratings and prepare schedules of work for food business operators
* Investigate complaints relating to poor food hygiene practices and advise business on improvements and update customers
As these are unprecedented and challenging times due to the covid 19 pandemic, candidates may have the opportunity to be involved in a wide range of public protection work such as covid secure enforcement, our local track and trace response and /or health and safety enforcement. We are interested to hear from candidates who may have recent relevant experience in any of these areas of work too
Experience, skills, knowledge and expertise required:
Previous experience of inspecting food premises
Must be a qualified Environmental Health Officer
Full UK driving license required
35 hours a week
