Job description

Our client, based in Bristol is currently recruiting for two electricians on a permanent basis. As an organisation they provide 6500 affordable and sustainable houses to over 15,000 people.

The position is due to start immediately on a full-time basis with an annual salary of £35,752.

The ideal candidate will have over 4 years working experience on domestic dwellings as a qualified Electrician.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Complete high-quality re-wires and repair works, attending appointments as arranged

  • Undertake Electrical installation works of both 230v and 415v systems in accordance with standard regulations and ensuring compliance with Health & safety legislations

  • Diagnose and complete maintenance of faults and undertake final testing, including the completion of relevant certification and reporting of defects

  • Work on an on-going testing and upgrading programme

  • Install and maintain energy saving / carbon reducing electrical and related technology

Qualifications needed:

  • NVQ level 3 or City & Guilds Parts 1 & 2 in Electrics

  • Qualification and working knowledge of the current edition of BS7671

Desired:

  • City and Guilds 2391

  • Knowledge of relevant confidentiality and professional boundary standards

  • Genuine empathy with the purpose of housing associations and care providers and their customers

  • AM1 and AM2 Practical examinations
