Job description

We are currently working with a domestic Social Housing provider based in Bournemouth, who are recruiting for an Electrician to join their growing team on a permanent basis.

This is a full-time position with a salary band of £36,150 to £37,772 and the start date is subject to notice.

The ideal candidate will be 17th or 18th edition qualified and competent in inspection and testing, preferably with a Social Housing experience

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Carrying out electrical installations and responsive maintenance work in domestic and commercial buildings in a safe and efficient manner
  • Changing consumer units, electrical rewires, wiring upgrades, minor works, fault diagnosis and rectification.
  • Completing electrical installation condition reports (EICR) and certification in accordance with IEE Wiring Regulations
  • Liaising with staff and subcontractors as necessary to ensure that works are completed in a timely manner in agreed timescales
  • Undertaking electrical testing and inspections within Social Housing properties
  • Ensuring van is correctly stocked and maintained at all times on and between sites
  • Undertaking all works as directed/instructed to ensure works, schemes or projects are completed to requirements of specifications

Requirements:

  • 17th or 18th edition qualification
  • 2391 qualification
  • Full UK driver’s license
  • Competent in inspection and testing

  • 40 hours per week
  • Monday – Friday, 8am-5pm
