Job description

We are currently working in partnership with a leading Housing Association based in Kent, who is currently recruiting for an Electric Supervisor a permanent contract. The position is due to start immediately on a full-time basis, with the salary being £42,000 per annum

The ideal candidate will have previous experience of working within compliance or responsive maintenance.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Managing and leading the Electrical Trade Operatives ensuring that personal, financial, and performance targets are either achieved or exceeded.

  • Supervising Electricians to deliver service requirements, including planning workloads, monitoring the quality of work and documentation, and directing work ensuring completion within target timescales

  • Monitoring and directly controlling the use of other resources including materials, plant, vehicles, handheld devices etc and ensuring that your operatives have the correct van stocks, tools and equipment to carry out their daily tasks

  • Carrying out weekly and monthly operative and site inspections and performance reviews taking appropriate action to support electricians to deliver against their individual targets

  • Attending all required training courses ensuring compliancy with requirements of BS7671and ensuring all Electricians are trained to required levels

Experience required:

  • Working within a compliance or responsive maintenance provider

  • Direct line management responsibility of electrical operatives

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

  • Understanding of the Social Housing Market

  • Working knowledge of Schedules of Rates

  • Strong technical knowledge of reactive repairs

  • Strong leadership management

Working hours:

  • 37.5 hours per week

  • Monday - Friday 8am-5pm or 9am – 6pm
