  • ELECTRICAL SERVICE MANAGER

ELECTRICAL SERVICE MANAGER

Our client, based in Buckinghamshire, is currently recruiting for an Electrical Service Manager on a permanent basis. The position is due to start soon on a full time basis. The annual salary is £35,265 and will rise too £37,121 after six months of service.

The ideal candidate must have a relevant technical qualification – trade NVQ level 3 or equivalent and hold a full UK Driving License.

Duties will include (but not limited to):

  • Manage a team of Electricians to deliver programmed works in customers ‘homes
  • Deliver a responsive customer orientated service providing value for money
  • Manage works and ensure the necessary financial controls are exercised and that adequate resources are in place
  • Deputise and support the Head of Service and mentor and support other Service Managers within the Empty Homes department
  • Manage operative productivity and work quality and monitor progress by undertaking quality audits of work and materials (in progress and post)
  • Manage approved subcontractors’ performance and compliance with contractual agreements
  • Monitor that operatives are maintaining appropriate levels of vehicle stock
  • Engage effectively with customers to deliver and improve the service
  • Ensure all KPI’s and measures are met
  • Ensure that they deliver value for money and operate in a productive and cost efficient manner

Experience required:

  • Experience of stock condition software/handheld devices
  • Experience of working as part of a management team delivering front line services
  • Experience of change management
  • Extensive knowledge of building maintenance technical operations

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

  • Up to date knowledge of building maintenance, decent homes standards and safety legislation
  • Experience of leading, managing, developing and motivating operational teams
  • Up to date knowledge of housing sector best practice and relevant legislation
  • Experience of successfully delivering an excellent customer focused repair service
  • Experience of repairs management information systems
  • Excellent oral and written communications

Working hours:

  • 39 hours per week
  • Monday – Friday
