Development Officer

Our client, based in Merseyside, is currently recruiting for a Development Officer on a a 12 month fixed term contract. Our client is proud to be a local Housing Association, providing services to almost 4000 homes.

The position is due to start in February 2021 and will be 35 hours per week. The successful candidate must have experience within New Build Development.

Duties will include (but not limited to):

  • Working with Private Sector landlords within a geographical patch
  • Working alongside and support the Asset and Development Manager to assist with a variety of new build development projects and programmes
  • Working on and assisting with a variety of development programmes including but not limited to new build projects, acquisitions roofing, windows and wall installation on both small and large new build projects
  • Undertaking day to day project work involving the review of new development opportunities, producing appraisals and reporting them to the senior team
  • Organising and attending introductory and monthly review meetings with contractors to analyse potential risks and new opportunities
  • Reviewing development scheme finances, reporting variations and cash flow forecasts to the senior team
  • Establishing and developing effective and dynamic partnerships with agencies and organisations that further the policies and aims in regard to new builds

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

  • Proven experience within the social housing property maintenance and investment sector, with experience of working within multi-disciplinary staff and operational teams
  • Contract management and procurement
  • Delivery of new-build development residential properties
