Job description

We are currently working in partnership with reputable Housing Association based in Bristol, who are currently recruiting for a Development Manager on a permanent contract. The position is due to start immediately on a full-time basis, with a salary of £55,230.

The ideal candidate will have Social Housing Development management experience, including land-led Development projects

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Line managing 3 Development Project Managers and a Development Assistant
  • Managing the delivery of a high-quality mixed tenure, land led, new build and regeneration programme, with a target of 1000 new builds by 2027
  • Identifying potential development sites and opportunities for new affordable housing in the open market
  • Leading on the pre-construction phase including land acquisition and conveyancing, land assembly, planning applications and all other contractual and statutory consents
  • Working with the Head of Development to formulate a range of strategies to deliver & implement the new homes programme including rental and homeownership targets
  • Implementing record management for audit purposes. Ensuring regular review of this documentation making sure it is fit for purpose and remains dynamic responding to changing legislation

Requirements

  • Management experience within Development, ideally within Social Housing
  • Experience on land led Development projects (including pre contract and post contract)
  • Rewards and Benefits:

    • 4 days per week home working, however this may vary week to week
    • 30 days annual leave + bank holidays

    Working hours:

    • 37 hours per week
    • Monday - Friday 9am-5pm
