Job description

We are currently working in partnership with a housing association based in the Midlands, who are currently recruiting for a Customer Services Officer (Repairs) on a temporary contract of 4 weeks, with the likelihood if it being extended. The position is due to start immediately on a full-time basis, with the salary being negotiable dependent on experience.

The ideal candidate will have experience working within repairs and housing experience is desirable.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Responding to all enquiries regarding repairs, giving general advice and assistance and ensuring an effective response to requests for repairs and maintenance services

  • Responding promptly to emergency and urgent maintenance queries to safeguard customers and property

  • Answering telephone calls/emails from contractors and helping with any job queries and enquiries and maintaining good customer relations

  • Ensuring all works orders are completed and recorded accurately within agreed targets

  • Overseeing the invoice process, ensuring PO’s are raised and coded accurately and on time

  • Providing data on a regular basis to assist in monitoring contractor’s performance and the customer experience

Experience required:

  • Experience within repairs

  • Experience within a social housing association

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

  • Ability to work well within a team

  • Organisational skills

  • Communication (both written and verbal) skills

  • Customer service skills

Working hours:

  • 37 hours per week

  • Monday - Friday 8.30am-4.45pm
