Job description

We are currently working in partnership with a Housing Association based in West London, who are recruiting for a Customer Service Advisor (Repairs) on a temporary 3 – 6 month contract. The position is due to start immediately, with the potential to go permanent. The hourly rate of pay is negotiable up to £20 per hour via an Umbrella company.

The ideal candidate will experience of working within a repairs environment in a contact centre.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Undertaking follow up works as required on behalf of the operative by procedure or instruction and therefore ensuring a satisfactory conclusion to the relevant appointments

  • Making any required outbound calls to customers to discuss and resolve repairs issues and to escalate any issues to the relevant Supervisors as required

  • Undertaking operative administration tasks including scheduling follow on appointments and ordering parts amongst others

  • Assisting in answering complex queries and providing repairs knowledge and guidance to assist the contact centre in diagnosing repairs reported by residents

  • Logging the correct Schedule of Rates codes and providing guidance to assist operatives in the execution of their duties

  • Maintaining a comprehensive and up to date knowledge of all relevant legislation, procedures and best practice within the service area

Experience required:

  • Proven experience of working in property/housing management

  • Ability to follow policies and procedures

  • Ability to remain calm under pressure

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

  • Excellent Customer Service Skills

  • Good spoken and written English

  • Effective IT skills including basic/intermediate MS Office skills
