Job description

We are currently working in partnership with a Housing Association based in Pontypridd, who are recruiting for a Housing Officer on a temporary 12-week contract. The position is due to start immediately, with the potential to go full time. The hourly rate of pay is negotiable up to £17 per hour via an Umbrella company (dependent on experience).

The ideal candidate will have had experience in a Customer Service or Call Centre environment previously.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Providing a high quality and responsive customer service to residents, focusing on their needs and expectations

  • Effectively handling around 30 - 60 incoming calls a day, tackling enquiries from customers

  • Logging instances of anti-social behaviour and signpost these to the relevant teams

  • Providing advice and guidance to residents, leaseholders and other occupiers on matters relating to the tenancy, how to pay rent, welfare entitlements and tenants’ rights

  • Effectively handling complaints through the recording of accurate detail and allocation for resolution to appropriate team

  • Responding to customer satisfaction surveys

  • Ensuring residents are aware of their responsibilities and expectations under their tenancy agreement

  • Issuing of rent statements, payments cards, direct debit/standing order mandates to enable residents to pay their rent and service charges on time every time

Working hours:

  • 37 hours per week

  • Monday – Friday, 8:30 am – 16:30pm
