Job description

We are currently partnering with a Local Authority, who are recruiting for a Compliance Manager to join their growing team on an interim basis, with potential to go permanent.

This is a minimum 3 month, full-time position with a negotiable daily rate and the start date is subject to notice.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Managing programmes of inspections, repairs and risk mitigation – in particular relating to Electrics, Gas, Asbestos, Legionella, Fire and lifts
  • Taking responsibility for the cyclical servicing and compliance of a local authority’s housing stock, including directly line managing a team of 5
  • Overseeing matters relating to the safety of domestic properties, and ensure tenant safety is at the centre of all activities
  • Monitoring the work of contractors and in house operatives, including KPI management
  • Value work and pay invoices as necessary
  • Developing programmes of work relating to: Carbon Management, promoting modern procurement methods and supporting the asset team
  • Ensuring robust maintenance of compliance databases and systems as a means of informing future planned maintenance programmes
  • Assisting in the Stock Condition programmes, including identification of hazards in line with HHSRS

Requirements:

  • Line management experience
  • IOSH/NEBOSH qualification
  • Full UK driving license and access to own vehicle
