Community Support Worker

Our client, a well-respected Charity based in Greater Manchester North, is currently recruiting for a Community Support Worker on a temporary contract until the end of March 2021. Our client is proud to support independent living to clients with complex needs in their own homes.

The position is due to start immediately on a full time basis. The hourly rate is negotiable based on experience for this position.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years’ experience in the sector, however this requirement can be flexible.

Duties will include (but not limited to):

• Supporting a caseload of vulnerable adults with learning disabilities and mental health needs
• Assisting with anything which would encourage independence such as dealing with bills, food shops and shopping
• Providing financial support to service users which included advising on benefit entitlements, Universal Credit and completing forms
• Helping the service users make repairs requests and following up to confirm schedule of work on their behalf
• Conducting regular health and safety checks
• Encouraging the independence of the clients at all times
• Maintaining up to date records at all times and noted any incidents when necessary

Experience required:

• Support experience to adults with complex needs
• Experience promoting independent living to include assistance accessing financial support

Working hours:

• 37.5 hours per week
• Monday – Sunday on a rota basis
• Earliest start is 8:00am, latest finish is 7:00pm
