Job description
Our client, based in Manchester, is an award winning multi-disciplinary building consultancy practice who are currently recruiting for a Building Surveyor on a permanent contract.
The position is due to start on notice on a full-time basis. The salary is between £30,000 - £40,000pa based on experience for the role and will be on a hybrid basis.
The ideal candidate will be looking to achieve RICS accreditation and hold a relevant degree in construction or a related discipline. The ideal candidate will also hold a full UK driving license.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
Spearheading building and site surveys, and compiling condition survey reports
Preparing project schedules of works, specifications and detailed design drawings using AutoCAD
Producing tender documentation and managing project documents in accordance with company procedures
Managing delivery and progress of construction works including contract administration, chairing meetings and taking minutes
Liaising with senior colleagues to ensure technical deliverables are on time, to the client’s requirements and within budget
Overseeing building pathology, including assisting in the diagnosis of defects, identification of deleterious materials and associated remedial works
Experience required:
Degree in construction or a related discipline
Working towards APC
Skills, knowledge and expertise required:
AutoCAD
Building pathology
Tender documentation

40 hours per week
Monday - Friday
