Assistant Surveyor

Our client, based in North London, is currently recruiting for an Assistant Surveyor on a one year, temporary to permanent contract. Our client an award winning construction company managing a variety of multi-million pound projects across the south of England.

The position is due to start immediately on a full time basis. The hourly rate is negotiable based on experience for this position.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years’ experience in the sector and will have some knowledge of the social housing sector.

Duties will include (but not limited to):

• Revising orders and dealing with sub-contractors on refurbishment projects valued between 1.6 and 4 million pounds
• Ensuring all subcontract management / process obligations are complete with particular reference to procurement, contractual instructions / notices / orders as well as Health and Safety
• Valuation and measurement of works on site
• Maximising project value and agree external valuations and cash flow
• Completing monthly CVR and progress reports

Experience required:

• Minimum two years’ experience within the sector
• Surveying qualification

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

• Understanding of the industry
• Willing to undertake a RICS qualification or further development

Working hours:

• 40 hours per week
• Monday – Friday 8am-5pm
