We are currently working with a Birmingham based Higher Education provider who are looking for an Assistant Management Accountant on a 6-month FTC, requiring travel to the office only two days per week.

The role is due to start as soon as possible and offers a salary of £25,506 - £27,399 (dependent upon experience). Other benefits include 40 days annual leave (pro rata) and a generous pension scheme.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

• Ensuring income and expenditure is accurately reported and monitored against the budget
• Preparing accounts for budget holders and ensuring financial regulations are adhered to
• Undertaking balance sheet reconciliations
• Reviewing financial position of relevant areas and communicating with stakeholders
• Calculating and reporting on budget to date information
• Providing accurate and relevant information to relevant business areas and the finance team including budgetary and forecast information

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

• Studying towards CIMA/ACCA would be beneficial
• Ability to use VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables
• Experience in a similar role
