Area Manager

Our client, based in South Wales, is currently recruiting for an Area Manager on a six month contract. Our client is committed to providing excellent housing support services to individuals across the region.

The position is due to start immediately on a full time basis. The salary is up to £36,000 for this role (pro-rata)

The ideal candidate will have experience managing staff and will hold a full UK driving licence.

Duties will include (but not limited to):

• Managing five homeless hostels, directly managing 1 Service Manager and in-directly managing 5 Team Leaders
• Setting KPIs, delivering training and assisting with recruitment practices
• Delivering support to clients who are homeless, threatened with homelessness, have mental health issues or substance misuse issues
• Supporting managers and teams to develop links with community services/partners to develop recovery pathways
• Upholding strict accommodation standards that meet environmental health guidelines
• Developing relationships with internal/external stakeholders, collaboratively planning and reviewing services with commissioners, managing risk, health and safety, safeguarding and complaints
• Dealing directly with the Housing Wales Act 2014

Experience required:

• Knowledge of Housing Wales Act 2014
• Staff and budget management

Working hours:

• 37 ½ hours per week
• Monday – Friday, 9AM – 5PM
