Job description

We are working in partnership with a prestigious charity based in London, who is currently recruiting for an Accounts Payable Officer on a 12-month temporary contract. The position is due to start immediately on a full-time basis, with a negotiable hourly rate.

The ideal candidate will have at least three years’ experience working within the Accounts Payable function and have used the SUN/Proactis accounting system.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Supporting the Deputy Head of Finance with the processing of all Accounts Payable transactions

  • Processing all electronic supplier invoices onto the Sun and Proactis system in an accurate and timely manner

  • Checking that all expense claims received have been approved and process them accordingly

  • Processing all credit card statements in an accurate and timely manner

  • Working closely with the wider finance team and respond to any queries raised by customers relating to accounts payable transactions

  • Managing the Accounts Payable inbox, responding to queries where necessary

Experience and skills required:

  • At least three years’ experience within the Accounts Payable function

  • Good attention to detail

  • Organisation skills

  • strong written and verbal communication skills

Working hours:

  • 35 hours per week

  • Monday - Friday 9am-5pm

  • Hybrid working: two days on-site per week (Tuesday and one other)
