Surveyor

Our client, based in East Manchester, is currently recruiting for a hybrid Surveyor on a temporary contract for three – four months. Our client is a highly reputable and ambitious Housing Association who are seeking an experience candidate to help cover a short term gap.

The position is due to start immediately on a full time basis. The hourly rate is negotiable based on experience for this position.

Duties will include (but not limited to):

• Responsible for inspecting damp and mould within properties
• Identifying structural defects within property and ensure repairs are carried out in a cost effective and timely manner
• Carry out pre and post void inspections
• Preparing schedules of work, technical solutions and advice to tenants to ensure that problems are resolved.
• Handling complaints from tenants

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

• Knowledge of all aspects of the building construction and maintenance industry including contractual matters, legislation, inspection and surveying of domestic property and the diagnosis and remedy of building defects.
• Working knowledge of standard forms of building contract and procurement methods available
• Ability to produce specifications, drawings and related tender documentation
• Ability to plan, prioritise and organise work in order to meet service delivery targets

Working hours

• 35 hours per week – 1-2 days working from home
• Monday – Friday 08:30 am-16:30 pm
